Shocked and Saddened by the loss of a childhood friend - we had some great times growing up in Alverstone Road and yes of course we had our scraps too! I would always say 'come on then Reeves you dont frighten me'🤣 but we never stayed mad at each for long and never held any grudges. Great friends and great times growing up - Alverstone Road will never be the same again. Our dear friend Michael will be sadly missed by all but he will never be forgotten. We were all very fortunate to grow up in Alverstone Road. Such a happy childhood we all had. As this page states so many long lasting friendships made. You were a good friend to many people Michael and will always be remembered with love. Rest in Peace Michael and sending lots of love to Mum Margaret Kim Mark and families.

Rip my dear friend Michael since the 70s we have been friends doing everything kids do growing up to adults playing in Alverstone the best road ever the park the wipets the butts then bird egging fishing playing football going West Ham then to the pubs n clubs working together memories I’ll never forget the old saying if there’s a problem call Micky he can fix it he helped anyone and everyone he was a true friend and will be missed by so many people You will fly in the sky with the birds you loved so much my dear friend RIp 🙏🙏🙏

As a younger brother i never just looked up to you but idolised you too, copying everything you did as a young kid growing up from collecting birds eggs with my own little collection, not a patch on yours, to going fishing after showing me how to catch fish & also football, watching you play from the sidelines then taking me WEST HAM, buying me my first scarf & having to put me on your shoulders the entire match so i could see the games, great memories & i can't believe your no longer here, taken too soon, il see you again, what the caterpillar calls death, a butterfly calls life, Now you are free X
